It had been a long year one that was simple, plain and quite stark. When in August in the midst of things a surprise travel plan popped up. I went to and fro and wasn’t sure of embarking on this trip but I did. I packed my bags and was off to an undisclosed place in Kashmir.
The Magical Spot
When we reached this spot in the photograph is when I realized I hadn’t been out in the longest time and the view ahead was spectacular. Sometimes you can’t soak in the moment the way you want to. Even then I felt myself relax here until I spotted the dandelions.
Dandelion Love
In the time before the trip I kept seeing images of dandelions on Pinterest and I had felt close to them in a way. Yet I felt as though I would never see them in my life. When I spotted them it made me so happy in a spiritual kind of way. It meant so many different things. One I had to learn how to blow on one properly, get a picture for sure and then on a deeper level it meant letting go and valuing my wishes and dreams. True to that when I returned I released any sense of fear or trepidation and with courage carried on to pursue my dreams.
Talisman
The dandelions made me slow down, think of the road ahead and cleared the clouds in my head so I could keep moving ahead and not look back at things that didn’t go my way.
You must wonder how I attached so much to a flower. I think it was the timing and the moment that made them special and a symbol for things to come, bridges that needed to be crossed and dreams to attain.
We often put our dreams on the back burner when the path is not clear. A dandelion in every way reminds you that your dreams are important and that you are free to make a wish and watch things unfold in a magical way.
