Faith Logs

There lived a girl

In a bubble of dreams

No where to go no where to fall

So she rode her own skies, danced with glee to the rhythm of her heart’s call

And recorded another Faith Logs!

How many of you have the time or shall I say rather the time alone to hear the inner rhythm of your heart and mind and what it speaks to you? Very often we aren’t privileged time so precious because family and work duties fill up our days.

Even though sometimes lonely it’s very special to have your own space and time to listen to your own inner most feelings and desires. Here is where the tiny voice inside you tells you there’s so much more that you know or care to know about yourself.

I urge you to take the time off for yourself to find that peaceful serenity that speaks only to you just because I thought it’s an important reminder.

So January gone by in a heartbeat and we’re well into the year. On the personal front there haven’t been any major shifts but I’m quite content with the way things are for the moment.

A thought occurred to me as I wondered how I’m going to share Faith Logs for another year but I know there will be loads to record or perhaps nothing at all but the logbook lives.

Open a book

Last month I didn’t get enough time to read so currently catching up on it. Reading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov inspired reading from a book I read last year and Not Dead Yet by Phil Collins. Also completed short stories by Rabindranath Tagore. I hope you were able to read the post.

I’d love to know what’s on your bookshelf?

Plant talk

Faith Logs

My plants seem to be doing better and have some new additions that were gifted to me. I still haven’t learnt how to tend to all kinds of plants. Some of them I can’t really save. It makes me sad. I love having my plants near me and they are an absolute delight.

Hot Chocolate anyone?

Sweet Tooth

It was fun to try this Pinterest recipe. Here’s a picture to tempt you into making some for yourself. Please don’t mind my failed attempt at the squiggle. A wholesome drink for a wintry day.

It’s really nice to try out a recipe you never have before and the weather made me dream of hot chocolate. Yes like the one Juliette Binoche whips up in the movie Chocolat with a hint of cinnamon was it that made it extra special?

Also had the sweet tooth bug and made my first attempt at a caramel custard. It was a caramel daydream kind of day and a really sweet month.

Faith Logs

I’m going to call this update by this guitar riff on a tee shirt I acquired at a Blues Music Festival. Why am I calling it that because I hope to be able to play it one day? Oh! no I just began my maybe seventh attempt at learning the guitar. This time I’ve taken up a course on Udemy by Henry Olsen. I’m still at the first few couple of chords and I have to say I sound terrible. Guitar for me has been the hardest thing to do and I also don’t understand it very well. To me it’s like studying Science in school, it’s harrowing. I always quit. I’ve always wanted to learn but I know this is one skill I will take years to. It’s still a very happy start. I sincerely hope there will be more stories here to record on Faith Logs.

Keep Walking

Streets

I haven’t been too regular with my walks but they are still just as beautiful and needed.

This month although the happy moments I’ve had a rocky month at home. Not the best of the first month of the year but as long as you still find meaning in it at the end. It still stays special.

Like an RJ I loved listening to would sign off this way and so do I. Hasta La Vista I’ll see you when I see you!

Keep the Faith Always!
