Faith Logs

Peaceful days, a pen and a notepad, dandelions, starry nights with shooting stars, silently working and small dreams, Faith Logs updates, disappointments and transformations, caring for others and being myself. 2023 a year of looking deep within to find some more sparkle in me.

A year one in which you find the time to pursue your hobbies, transform them into dreams and be at peace with yourself has to have been a good one. This year I took a step back from my career in teaching and went inwards to draw out new passions that were already within me. They led me to discover that there’s always more to us if we are able to give ourselves time to introspect and search for new meaning and direction. This is my final Faith Logs for the year 2023 a time of inner transformation and being patient with new beginnings and goals.

The Lesson

Dance into the Light

The one lesson that stood out for me this year was trying to be patient with something new. Writing became the one thing that led me through the year but I had to be patient with it. All things that are new have a rough start and you begin at a point where you don’t know everything and your work isn’t quite the best but I believe that it doesn’t mean you give up on it. Keep finding ways for it to work because that’s the only way you’ll learn and move forward.

Red- My Novelette

Red by Parinaz Jokhi

I believe that if you want to start anew and look for more possibilities that lie within you, you have to give yourself a nudge and resolve to see it through. I released my noveletteRed this year. Although my work is very raw, I absolutely loved going through the publishing process to put my little dream out there. When you begin a new chapter begin it with faith and sincerity.

“Red” delves into the intricate connection between Sarah Ansari’s life and her underlying struggle with mental illness, unravelling a profound mystery. Born into a modest middle-class family in the serene suburb of Bandra, Sarah’s world revolves around her hardworking father, Tariq Ansari, her mother, Salma Ansari, courageously battling schizophrenia, and her ever-doting brother, Imran Ansari. The narrative unfolds from her formative years to the challenges she faces in adolescence, culminating in the diagnosis of her mental illness. Through the trials and tribulations that persist into her adulthood, Sarah embarks on a profound journey that leads to a life-altering revelation.

Additionally, the narrative is enriched by a collection of nine poignant stories exploring the themes of love and life, drawn from the author’s blog, “Faith.”

The Year that Was

Faith Logs

This year; I took part in a marathon, enjoyed the warmth of Lohri, learnt the art of caring for another, made a spontaneous trip to Kashmir, found the dandelions that were missing from my life, took long walks, worked on my canvas, made true my little dream; my novelette Red, created a website and found writing in me. I also experienced tests in patience, learnt to feel lighter, pursue my dreams small or big and learnt to rely on myself and keep drawing out the inner strength in me.

My theme for this year has been Dance into the Light and after having faith that it is okay to let go of things to find something new. I’m definitely dancing into the light for never letting that resolve shatter. Also I’m reading Phil Collins Not Dead Yet this December. So everything adds up nicely.

A Heartfelt Note for you
