Drizzle and Yellows

Drizzle and yellows; cloudy outside sunshine inside her heart

She twists and turns

Down a muddy street

Happens to see him

Only walks on

streets
Drizzle and Yellows

As she walks further down the road

Thoughts of him

Come calling her

There’s a slow, sweet drizzle

Busy street
Green

Rain washed streets

Her mind a muddle

She tries to hold on to that moment

Was it really him in that bright yellow?

Black and white car
Rain washed street

She takes her mind off

And looks around

To capture the shine from the streets

There’s a slow, sweet drizzle

Street lamps and billboards
Drizzle and Yellows
Rain

She thinks of yesterdays with him

When laughter is all he gave to her

Did he see her?

That old face who could bring out the sun for her

Grey clouds
Drizzle and Yellows
Drizzle and yellows

A smile came across her lips

Her glasses still foggy

Her mind a bit clearer

There’s a slow sweet drizzle

That bright yellow in a dull grey

There’s a slow, sweet drizzle

A start of a new season, September I know will bring with it, its share of work, a steady will to attain those elusive goals, trying not to fall behind and hopefully lots of sunshine trying to filter through!

Drizzle and Yellows for those rainy days and to welcome a spirited September.
