-All see the world in a different way-

Hello!

This month felt like a summer breeze. Did it really? There were three key moments that were in a way reflective for me. Let me take you through them.

The Egrets

A few days feeling worried about my situation. I happened to sit on a chair in my living room waiting for some art work to dry just sitting with it basically. I happened to look out the window and watched two egrets, a story unfolded before me. I learnt in that moment that taking a pause and some observation of your surroundings leads to healing and meditative experiences. That pause shifted how I felt inside and I noticed something in nature. A lesson to keep. You can read the story and lesson here.

Health first

I realized I neglect health and fitness so much that it was time to put my focus back on it. The exercise helped uplift me in many ways and instantly put me in a better more positive outlook. A little displine in your routine can really do wonders. I know I don’t have to say it we are all so energy driven and health conscious these days but for those who are neglecting exercise start small and take up exercise that suits your rhythm and needs.

Having a purpose

I’ve been forcing myself all of last month to get back to work after the sabbatical I am on. The idea was not working out for me and only has led to more stress and worry. So this month I learnt to let go. I found though that paid work is not your only purpose. You can find meaning, significance, growth, learning and motivation in something entirely different. You are still worthy without a job and can lead a nurturing and meaningful life. I’m not discouraging you from finding your dream job just that there can be a different point of view on how you choose life to be. There are different ways of seeing life. While writing this I remembered a poem Eyes by Edith L.M. King. I’ll leave you with it borrowed from Chosen for you A Book of Poems for South African Children.
