A PLACE THAT LISTENS

My neighbourhood has always felt quietly charming to me. It holds memories of growing up and continues to carry a sense of familiarity that I return to often.

In Loneliness A One-Act Play, I wanted to recreate that same feeling where, on a quiet night, the neighbourhood and its sounds become a kind of solace.

You are rarely ever truly alone in a neighbourhood. Even in its silence, there are lives moving alongside yours, people who, in small ways, remain connected to you, sometimes understanding you more than you realise.

Moon Beam is shaped from that same charm the feeling of a building that comes alive at night, wrapped in its own quiet sounds and silences. Without this setting, the play could not have come into being.
