Inside the Mind of John Mayer

I wondered what it would be like to be inside the mind of John Mayer. John if I had to pick one artist that I can’t stop listening to and would never replace with anyone. It would have to be you. Here’s my set of questions to you things I would love to know if I had a chance to.

John Mayer

Songs and Reads

1. Songwriting seems to come to you so easily with each song having unique lyrics and a tone to it. What works for you when writing a song? What is the starting point?

2. To speak of one of my favourite songs Never on the Day you Leave. It always makes me cry. If you had to pick one song from your repertoire that you most enjoyed producing and working on which one would it be?

3. I love reading music biographies. Are there any music biographies that you loved to read or that inspired you in a way?

4. There are songs we are guilty of listening to on repeat. Which song do you love to hear on repeat and why?

Work Inspirations

5. What gave you the inspiration for the line what puts a hundred children in the sand from the song ‘Belief?’ Could we go deeper into the lyrics behind that song?

6. Is there a female artist you would love to do a duet with? Why?

7. Will you ever do a current mood again? Is it your way to connect more deeply with your audience? Do you feel you are filling in a lonely time for someone on a Sunday and yourself in a way?

Looking Deeper

8. Your songs speak so beautifully of love. What are you looking for in a woman that would make you happy?

9. Is there an experience of your life that changed you as a person or took you on a different path?

10. Looking ahead do you see yourself creating more albums or is there something else that interests you?

This has been a wonderful imaginary interview with my favorite artist of all time, John Mayer. Who is that one person you’d like to interview? Please do mention in the comments.

I need some kind of emotional stake in it to write my lyrics, assuming that place. It might just be an emotion I understand but am not currently experiencing necessarily.
