Wars and Peace Lilies

I am a woman mostly engulfed in her own world

Peace lilies in the garden, writing in a love diary, music, books, some simple art is what I am attuned to

I am more concerned with the wars in my head

That the wars outside mean less and less

Wars in the Middle East, North Africa and Africa

I don’t read enough to know more about them

But every other while I’m given a sharp reminder

That your life and it’s insignificant myriad problems don’t matter

But how do I change the world?

This lady and her love for her home

I can be touched by it or not

It’s up to me to choose

So I write in my notes for a blog one day

Although on Faith I rarely do speak of war

I may not feel it strongly as much as you do

But I too would love to end the war
