The day almost starts as though I want to finish it already. Not living in the moment life a list of to dos. In the rush to live and get through everything we forget mindfulness in our thoughts, words and deeds. Here’s what mindfulness means to me and I struggle hard to stay mindful every day but it’s still an on going quest.
Mindfulness in thoughts

Zoroastrianism believe in the age old belief that religion is sometimes much about and only good thoughts, good words and good deeds.
Many of you have noticed that our day is mostly led by the thoughts we begin with in the morning. Mindfulness and gratitude in our thoughts intrinsically leads to a more positive and happier day. Even if the day and tasks at hand are difficult with good thoughts we are able to face those challenges.
I often take note of when I become extremely negative about people and situations and don’t check my way of thinking it streams into my consciousness. Likewise positively thinking about the people and situations that surround you can uplift you in many ways.
Mindfulness in thoughts lead to better outcomes and a more satisfying day.
Mindfulness in Words

We usually lead our lives in a very self centered way. Nothing can come in between our schedules and if they do irritability sets in. Words can be sharp and not meant to hurt but they often do very serious damage and lead to resentment.
Sometimes silence over words is better or just a few right words in the day is better than speaking without thinking. Anger also leads to harsh words being said. A little restraint at times instead of letting anger flow and unnecessary words being said could go along way in establishing harmony. I’d rather avoid an argument or conflict than have a full blown torrent of meaningless words. We will often realize that our object and reason for anger subsides if we just release it and let time pass between us. We find there was no reason to be so angry or let out any harsh words in the first place.
Mindfulness in words leads to more harmonious relationships.
Mindfulness in deeds

Our deeds, our actions are not linked or restricted to our immediate surrounding but it affects the entire universe like cogs in a machine. So you must think before you act and bring mindfulness in the decisions you take.
Do your actions have repurcussions? Are they good and do they serve you well in the situation you are in? Breathe before acting, list down how you feel about it.
Mindfulness in deeds is so deeply linked to the whole scheme of things, let it be good and with good intentions.
These are not rules that I stick by. Often, I struggle with this mindfulness that everyone speaks of, but we must have observed this in our daily lives. Good thoughts, good words and good deeds are a talisman for life that we must all remind ourselves of from time to time. We can’t be perfect, but we can remember to be mindful in small and significant ways, even some of the time.
Mindfulness for me is mindfulness in our thoughts, words and deeds because that is what we are made up of and life starts to hold more meaning.
