-The Month of Almosts-

Finding joy in what didn’t quite work.

Lovely Readers,

Hello! I hope you’re doing well.

Not every month is filled with victories. Some months seem determined to test your patience. This Faith Logs is about those moments—the projects that didn’t work, the plans that stalled, and the lessons quietly waiting behind them.

Shop Dreams

This month I dreamt of opening a small shop with just a handful of art prints and notebooks to share.

I approached the project with great enthusiasm and perhaps even greater curiosity. Having never done anything like this before, I researched every step and asked countless questions.

Everything went smoothly until Phase II, when the GST requirement appeared.

What seemed like one form became pages upon pages of information. Every answer seemed to raise another question, and despite many kind people trying to help us, we often found ourselves in a Catch-22 situation. Eventually, the process became more overwhelming than exciting.

So, for now, I decided to let the shop go.

Oddly enough, I don’t see it as a failure.

I learnt how important research is, even if sometimes I overthink every possibility. I also realised that some dreams simply need a little more time before they are ready.

@naiveheart8 is still very much alive, even if the shop isn’t.

Health Dramas

My health decided to take a little detour this month, and I found myself down with the flu.

The encouraging part?

Even while feeling unwell, I still wanted to write.

Perhaps that’s how I know writing has become a part of who I am.

I found that mental well being was becoming just as important to survive and I took steps and sought help.

Who You Love?

I’m not in a relationship, but I find myself feeling close to people who have quietly become important to me.

It often makes me wonder, who do we really love?

When you’re single, relationships sometimes find unexpected places. They appear in diaries, in letters never sent, in memories, and in the conversations you have with yourself.

Perhaps that’s one way of softening loneliness.

And a Picture Book…

I’ve been meaning to do a children’s book. Every time I begin, I seem to meet another roadblock. At the same time, I’m learning to work at a pace that feels sustainable. I want to publish because the work is ready not because I feel rushed.

So, for now, the story is still waiting to be told. Perhaps it will be a story that stays with me and doesn’t find an audience.

Faith Logs Says…

Life can be wonderfully unpredictable.

Some months everything seems to bloom. Other months nothing quite falls into place.

But even the projects that don’t succeed leave us with something valuable—experience, patience, and perhaps a clearer understanding of what we truly want.

Not every dream has to happen today.

Sometimes it simply asks us to return when we’re a little more ready.

Until then, I’ll keep learning, creating, and beginning again.

Keep the Faith Always!
