It’s hard to assemble an iPhotograph when you mostly just walk up and back down the same street. So here goes these are some photographs taken over the years of the street where I live. Now just because I have a category on photographs doesn’t mean I know anything about photography. So here I did some research and highlighted a specific part of the image that I clicked unknowingly.

It’s not always a good idea to bring out your phone in a fast moving rickshaw lest it fly out but this must be from a time that I did. It’s one of my favourites.
Here I seemed to have used blur in photography when an image or part of it is not in focus, or when the subject or camera is moved while the shutter is open. Blur can be used intentionally to create artistic effects.
I like the faint blur in this picture and I hope you do too.

When the world had almost just begun to move out of the pandemic I participated in a school marathon where you had to record your run from wherever you could. Before sunrise is when I had started. It was beautiful the isolated street except for someone walking their dog.
Particularly for sunrises in ideal conditions the best color tends to come at least 10 minutes before the sun comes up. So it is really important to arrive on location for sunrise at least an hour before the sun is due to rise, get set up, find your composition and prepare for the show.
I’m not sure if I was there for the ideal time or know how to find composition but I know how beautiful this moment was as I had stepped out. So the timing was perfect.

This picture is special. It’s of our neighbourhood go to shop for almost anything shuttlecocks, sweets, Simba wafers. We always run to this shop. It became vital in the pandemic for our grocery needs.
A photograph of a building is called architectural photography. It is a subgenre of photography that focuses on capturing the beauty and accuracy of buildings and other architectural structures
I have to say the beauty of this corner shop is not just architecturally charming but also has lovely stories behind it.

I don’t remember why I took this. I just like the shadows and it’s twilight.
Twilight photography, also known as dusk photography, is a type of photography that takes place during the transition from day to night. It’s characterized by soft, warm light and minimal shadows.
I especially loved the light here and the shadows play in beautifully.

This is the view as I step out of my lane and it’s beautiful by night too.
To capture the trails of car lights, photographers often use long shutter speeds, blurring the movement of vehicles while keeping the traffic lights sharp
I don’t know about that but I loved the traffic lights beaming through the foliage of trees in this picture.

My hood the one I always speak of. I think in this picture I captured it in the right light and some of my neighbors agreed.
“Daytime street photography” refers to the practice of capturing candid photographs of people and scenes in public places during the daylight hours, essentially meaning taking street photography when the sun is out, allowing for natural lighting and the ability to capture everyday moments as they unfold in a well-lit environment.
I do love the natural lighting in this picture which was what made it special.
So I transformed this blog into a mini lesson for me on photography and why these pictures could be so special.
A picture even though can mean almost nothing and then again it can carry so much emotion in it, warmth, a memory to hold on to and a treasure for life. That’s The Street where I live. Tell me about yours?
What’s November without a little rain but I do hope there’s more to it than just that? I believe it should be about wrapping up so you enjoy the final month of the year, setting in place goals for next year, winding down a little and if nothing at all finding some love to keep you warm this season.

Loved the pictures Pari… and the little knowledge on photography with it… The next time I take a photo will give me a new perspective to look at it from… ❤️📸
Thank you!
